Blue Zone places are where their habitants live more than average people and most of them live more than 100 years. Blue Zones Nicoya highlights the research of local foods from the Blue Zone of Nicoya-Guanacaste. The purpose is to promote and raise awareness about the consumption of high quality products with nutritional value and great health benefits. In addition, promote and rescue the values, culture and traditions of the region.
Once a week, guests can sign up to attend the Blue Zone camp where they will see the farm that grows the many herbs the hotel uses for their ingredients in the kitchen, different teas and will be shown the local bee hives. Afterwards visitors wil be shown the macaw rehabilitation program at the end of the farm.
