Start your Seoul vacation with Gyeongbokgung Palace before heading to Namsan Tower for a panoramic view of the city. When to visit

If you want to see the cherry blossoms bloom, we recommend going in Spring, from March till May. For local events and festivals, come during the fall from September to November, when the weather is cool.

What to bring back

Colourful accessories like norigae (hairpins, fans), hanji (craft paper), ginseng, traditional teas, soju, Korean beauty products, K-pop merch and stationery.

What to eat

Street food at Gwangjang Market like bindaedduk (mung bean pancakes), or soon-dae (blood sausage), Korean BBQ, kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) and mandu (dumplings). For something sweet, there’s banana milk or bingsu (shaved ice).

Seoul looks sleek and modern, but it’s also home to 5 UNESCO World Heritage Sites for you to explore: Changdeok Palace, Hwaseong Fortress, Jongmyo Shrine, Namhansanseong, and the Joseon Royal Tombs.
