What to bring back
Colombo spice blend to cook up your own curries, crafts created from calabash gourd shells, Bakoua hats (a typical straw hat of Martinique) and cane juice rum from the many distilleries (Habitation Clément, Depaz and Saint-James).
What to eat

Fun fact
Over 100 years ago, Mount Pelée erupted and devastated the town of Saint-Pierre. A criminal named Ludger Sylbaris was one of the only survivors, because he was in solitary confinement at the time. Sylbaris went on touring with a circus in the US as “the man who lived through Doomsday” and his cell is still a novel attraction you can visit in Saint-Pierre.
