What to bring back
Naples is famous for its ceramics, especially majolica earthenware with charming rustic designs of lemons and landscapes. Jewelry made from coral and mother of pearl from the bay and good luck charms called lucky horns shaped like red chili peppers are also popular.

Margherita pizza, which was invented in Naples in 1889 after Queen Margherita of Savoy, buffalo milk mozzarella which is a staple of Campania, seafood pasta, and street food served in paper cones like fried fish or zeppole (fried pastry dough).
Fun fact
Naples hasn’t always been Italian. It was first founded by the Greeks in the 8th century B.C, refounded in the 6th century, absorbed by the Roman Empire, independently ruled as capital of the Duchy of Naples under the Byzantine Empire, gaining independence as the Kingdom of Naples, and then finally becoming capital of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies until the unification of Italy in 1861.
