Fun fact

Tulum is the site of one of the most well-preserved Mayan sites in the world! The ancient city may have been called Zama, the City of Dawn, because it faces the sunrise. This was one of the last cities ever built and occupied by the Maya people, and human remains nearly 10,000 years old have been found here.
